What will the final deliverable of the competition be?
The final deliverable will be a conversational app that can be implemented inside of the Ada Chat iframe. Some examples of this include a date picker (Check out this video), a product carousel, a calendar booking app, a payment app. But we want to see you get creative too base on what you think millions of customers would get value from!
How much development knowledge is required for the competition?
The development work requires beginner / Intermediate working knowledge of Javascript, HTML and CSS. In addition to that, we will share our APP SDK that you will use as your guardrails in development to make sure it works with the Ada platform.
Do we need to build a webpage from scratch?
That’s really up to you and what you think would have the greatest impact on customers using the solution. You can either use pre-built apps and work on integrating them into the SDK. Or you can build one from the ground up. We will have a more technical rubric shared as the hackathon approaches.
What is the timing for the event?
The Hack begins on August 28th at 5pm EST and ends on August 30th at 5pm EST. You are invited to work any hours of your choice over that time period. We will have Admin support asynchronously available to you for any questions or troubleshooting.
